Since I went back to work full time four years ago (well, four days a week) and Difficult Child son graduated from high school last June, summer is just the hottest part of the year! When I was a stay at home mom when the kids were little it was all about sleeping in, staying up late, lazy days at the pool, etc. Now that I'm grown up :|, it just kinda melds into the rest of the year. We now take our family vacation to the beach in September when the crowds are gone and the weather is gorgeous. It was great doing that last year for the first time not having to worry about taking anyone out of school. We'll be going down to the outer banks in September for a week in a beach front cottage -- a long time to wait but so worth it!!!! The one thing I do in the summer still is move Fridays. Since both difficult child and I are off on Fridays, we go to the movie theatre almost every other Friday. We usually go to the first show of the day to avoid the crowds. We have a frequent movie goer pass so we get discounts on tickets and concessions. We've seen three already! Enjoy your summer!
