Hmmm never quite knew that many facts about turkeys. Some are pretty intereting.

Here we go again!
The place where Herbert grew up had a tom turkey. He hissed a lot.
My mom had a friend who raised a half-dozen turkeys one year with the intent of harvesting them for Thanksgiving. She gave one to our family. I remember her telling us that turkeys were so dumb that you had to make sure the poults were sheltered during the rain or they would look up in the sky with their mouths open, trying to figure out where the water was coming from, and drown. Not sure if it's true, but I wouldn't be surprised!
