My own dirty little secret is that the UK Daily Mail website is my latest escape from reality. I found this article very interesting (keeping in mind that it IS a tabloid), especially since the mom is a very respected, reputable and successful businesswoman who is sharing their story in hopes of taking the stigma away from addiction in the UK and encouraging more treatment options there. Basically, her 14 year old daughter was escaping through drug use and the mom sent her to the US for treatment in a desperate attempt to get through to her. The article is interview style and shares the mom and the (former) difficult child's story.
