He'd rather be miserable than be alone. In his mind, the ONLY people in the world he has is these two. No friends. We don't count. If they leave, he'll be utterly alone, doing nothing but working and then being home alone with no one to talk to and no one to "hang out" with. To him that's like the worst thing that could possibly happen to someone. It's as though he simply doesn't know how to be alone and entertain himself.</p></blockquote><p></p>
