We are at a hockey game!

It's the Ducks vs. Calgary. I lucked into free tickets for our family We've already seen one fist fight on the ice. Calgary scored first with about 4 minutes left in the first period, and then the Ducks got two back to back goals within the next minute!

I spoke too soon... difficult child 1 is biting heads off. Oh well, we made it thru the 1st period! So much for the second

Unbelievable! 18 seconds left in the 3rd period and Calgary scores to tie the game and send it into overtime!

OMG. My easy child, she plays hockey, would be so envious. Sounds like you made it to a exciting game! Being Canadian, please sent a WHOOP WHOOP to Calgary for me

Enjoy. A NHL game, just like NBA etc can be pretty exciting, all the energy in the audience etc.

And the Ducks win it! Woo-hoooo! Teemu Selanne scored the only goal in the sudden-death shoot-out And we nearly left with just 38 seconds in the third period with the Ducks up by 1. Good thing we stayed! Ugh, but we got home by 10:30pm which is late for a school night. Oh well. Sometimes you just have to live a little, huh?
