[QUOTE="GoingNorth, post: 725710, member: 1963"] It's up to 2 above in Milwaukee-land, with windchills of -13. Got down to -7 overnight with windchills of -27. Have been using the Northwoods parka the last couple of days, instead of my sensible Milwaukee-land winter coat I bought when I came down here and discovered my Northwoods parka was WAAAAYYY to warm for the winters here. Staying warm but the furnace is running continually. I'm glad that in the fall, when I replaced my car battery, I, without thinking, asked for a battery that was good to -45 below cold-cranking. This AM, several cars didn't start, Mine did, and I jumped off several neighbors so they could get to work and drove mine around for a bit to recharge. It's supposed to be cold all week, though I think a tiny bit warmer. Not sure about next week, but hoping warmer by next Thursday as Thomas (The orange guy in my avatar) has a vet appointment to figure out what else we can do about his arthritis, and right now it's too cold to take him out. Hope everyone is keeping warm, and those of you on the wrong side of the Great Lakes are being sensible about shoveling snow. We only got a couple of bands of lake snow before the wind changed.
