I agree, it abdicates personal responsiblity.

How much responsibility can a mentally ill person, or neurologically impaired person have?

A fair amt. as many on this bb have proven time and again.

The one thing I do like about the N'anga that L told me they hired, was that the same herbs he threw into the fire, he requested that the family use to make porridge the next day, to promote family harmony. Any good therapist--or N'anga--knows that individuals do not operate in a vacuum. A disruptive person impacts the family dynamics. So the power of suggestion, as we talked about earlier, in this case extended to the whole family.
Maybe the peace only lasted through that one meal. But I'm guessing that his mom was greatful for at least one peaceful meal.
