Yet another artist with-depression

Here's a really good article on a book that's coming out on Charles Schultz (Snoopy's creator). I attended the same art school he did (30 yrs apart!) and I already knew he suffered from depression and agoraphobia, so the "revelations" in this book did not surprise or upset me. What I want to know is, how in the h*ll did he rise above all that to create such pure, simple, honest cartoons? Personally, I think that's genious.
Congrats, Charlie, where ever you are, looking down on us!

Very cool. Life gives you lemons, make lemonade. I wish I knew the secret to teaching my child to find his excellence no matter what it is.
Thanks for sharing.

I read an article on him too. loved that Lucy was based on his first wife, bossy as heck. he later married a woman who was softer and he softened up Lucy as well. lol
