a prayer for us

    I like this a lot but I think something about accepting those things about ourselves we can't change belongs somewhere in there as well. Acceptance should be for ourselves as well as others.

    Such an interesting point!
    Working on that a bit myself.
    Accepting ourselves (blemishes and all), but when things aren't working for us, we often know in our hearts we need to make a change. Often, change is not easy. Then, we have to reach for whatever healthy tools we might have that help us get from point A to point B. Sometimes, it is a spiritual faith....whatever gets us there.
    I think this little prayer...reminds us that we can't change others. Sometimes we can provide an 'assist," if and only if they let us. Change is their journey, just as it is ours.
