difficult child is having a very predictable response to school starting tomorrow/open house last night: he is freaking out. Screaming, calling us names, doing all his weird self-stimulating noises, postures, etc. Being extremely provocative and oppositional...
And I actually scheduled some work to do at home today.
Ha ha ha!
When will I learn? It's only 8:54 a.m. and I've made about 15 parenting mistakes, plus I'm exhausted.

p.s. on the bright side, I am already in love with his extremely calm, nice, experienced 2nd grade teacher. I have high hopes for this coming year.
