Cloud computing

It just means all your stuff, documents etc, are stored in the 'cloud' rather than only on your computer, so you can access it from the cloud from any computer wherever you are. H uses it all the time cos he works at home sometimes and then can access his work when he goes into the uni. You don't have to save your stuff on a disc or memory stick to take it anywhere and open it on another computer.

"the cloud" is a storage system off-line from your computer(s) - accessible over the internet. Because of the way it is set up, you have access to it from any computer.

BUT... you have to trust that your cloud provider is at least as secure from hackers as your own system is. Some people love the cloud. Others don't trust it.
