[QUOTE="Marguerite, post: 364661, member: 1991"] It sounds like you're all having fun. I'm glad you're enjoying your summer, it was a long cold winter for a lot of you. We've got loads of medical stuff going on right now. I'm now in week 4 of 6 weeks' radiation treatment and my skin is starting to react. Tomorrow is also the weekly appointment with the oncology registrar and maybe this time I'll get a chance to be heard on a number of issues; last week I got a wet-behind-the-ears guy who was panicked by the chest pain and stopped listening at that point. Well, I had the stress test today (very thorough but very tiring) and my heart is fine. My doctor rang tonight to tell me. Also tomorrow I see the shoulder specialist. Ill have some news on what he wants to do for me. Nothing can be done until well after the radiation finishes. husband got his first rabies shot today, as well as tetanus booster, plus rabies immunoglobulin (injected into the wound, which he said was like getting injections under the thumbnail - very painful!). His doctor just happens to be writing up some research on bat bites, so he's in the best of hands. She sent him home with the supply of injections, he's arranged for our local village doctor to give him the rest of the injections. The next one is Friday. We're still cranky with the wildlife rescuer who told mother in law about the horror stories and that husband had been bitten, she's still upset about it all and I had to cancel out of my usual Wednesday night stuff tonight, because she was so upset last night. She wanted us all together, me to stay home, because she feels my going out is making it more difficult for husband and we both need to rest. But by staying home (which I would have anyway, if it had really been needed) I let other people down. But she was so upset yesterday that if I hadn't stayed home tonight, it would have made things much more difficult for husband, in coping with her. I'm tired and heading for bed, I'm desperately needing sleep especially after today. It's ironic - if I had gone out, both husband & I would have been home sooner. Enjoy your Wednesday, people.
