Good Morning Sunday

G'day, everyone.

A quiet day today. The weather wasn't exactly raining, but grey enough to discourage us from rushing off to the beach at first. Then we got busy... just little things.

I've been baking, the kids are now feasting on the results. Foccaccia, roast chicken, pizza. husband made fried rice from other leftovers, difficult child 3 is eating the last of the ice cream.

It's warm, muggy, more rain forecast but will it actually fall - who knows?

Tomorrow husband & I see the pain specialist, after which I drive him to the station and difficult child 3 & I go shopping for the things we didn't get last Thursday. Tomorrow we replace bulk supplies (rice and flour), and fresh vegetables.

If we get home early enough, we're taking the neighbours to the beach, weather permitting.

Wish us luck!

Marg,

Dinner at your home sounds wonderful....I'm a bit hungry just reading your menus. Good luck getting your errands run - more importantly at the pain specialist.

Today promises to be "boring" for kt; lots of household chores to be completed. Most importantly kt's laundry for which she is responsible & her bedroom. As she wants to "earn" a new Sims game she has a few chores to finish for me - we'll see.

husband is heading out to visit wm this afternoon.

I spent the entire day (until dinner) sleeping yesterday after a healthy night's sleep. Now I'm awake - hoping this will turn around my skewed sleep patterns just a bit. husband figured I needed the sleep & let me sleep the day away yesterday. I am feeling much better this morning & hoping to have more energy.

It's raining this morning & the weatherman is predicting mid 40's today. That should take care of our January thaw.

Have a peaceful Sunday. :flower:

Good morning everyone.

Marg, good luck at the pain specialist.

Linda, glad you're getting caught up on your sleep. You need it.

We have lots of odds and ends on the agenda today. husband may take J shopping for dress clothes for A's Bat Mitzvah in February. A has to finish up an exam here at home because she was sick during exam week before Christmas. M has to practice cello and finish her math homework. I have to plan out the meals for the week, do a little laundry and add to my never-ending to-do list for the upcoming week. Not much fun but all necessary chores that need to be completed before school starts tomorrow morning.

Hope you have a peaceful day. Hi if you snuck in.

Good morning my friends. :coffee: It's been a pleasant weekend of
chores, fun stuff and peace. It's just too perfect to last long or it will get boring.
Marguerite, I'm always amazed how you can accomplish so much in one day and still take the neighbors to the beach. Why can't they go on their own? Just curious.
Your menu of baking sounds yummy.

Linda, hope your energy starts to return.

smallworld, I have never had much luck at week long menu's since the kids got older. Maybe I should give it a try again.

It's warming up so we will head out for a long walk with the puppies. I love being so close to the state park. A few chores on the list and lot of relaxing.

I finally hit the treadmill for a start to get back into the routine. :treadmill: It's easy going for a while until the muscles strengthen.

Hope your day is peaceful.

:coffee: Good Morning Everyone!

Marg, sounds like a wonderful Sunday dinner at your house! Hope you get to the beach tomorrow :thumb:

Linda, so glad you had a huge block of sleep. Your body was telling you something and you listened. I'm with you hopeing this gets you a little more regulated (in the area of sleep of course).

SW, my day sounds very much like yours! I'm a list maker and I sit down on Sunday with my datebook and my notepad and I write down by day what needs to happen. I'm also a meal planner as well. I don't necessarily plan which day I'm cooking what, but I plan what the meals will be for the week. Hope you get a lot accomplished.

Fran, glad you can take the dogs on a nice long walk. You all got really cold like we did. It was definately a frosty couple days. Glad you climbed back on the treadmill. easy child and I have been putting some physical stuff back in our daily routines. We start WW on tuesday! Have a peaceful walk.

Like Smallworld, it is a day of small busy stuff around here. The kids have to finish their Christmas thank-you notes. They each have a couple more to do (I finished mine already!). difficult child has to study for a science test and read a chapter in his tech book. easy child has some anatomy work to do, laundry (like kt she is repsonsible for her won), and has to take a roll of "depth of field" shots for her photography class.

Me, well I'm just the cheerleader that will keep them on task :fan:

Wishing everyone a peaceful Sunday.

Good morning all,

I'm taking down a majority of the Christmas decorations today. I really wish I could keep them up a bit longer, but I'm also feeling a bit cluttered, so down they come. I am leaving up the living room lights I have strung on the ceiling because they are nice to look at all year.

Later, I am going food shopping. I have $50, so I'm planning the week's menus veeeery carefully based on what I already have. Haha~

Have a good one!
