[QUOTE="Marguerite, post: 120321, member: 1991"] G'day, people. Wiped/Sharon - crikey, with temperatures like that I wouldn't be leaving the house! I don't know how you do it! Go safely. husband just asked me to check - do you really mean -8F, or 8F below freezing (ie 24F)? Either's horrible, but -8F is ghastly! I could stand 24F, where we stayed in NZ last winter, the temps dropped to 24F or thereabouts. No biggie (apart from being stranded because the roads weren't safe). LDM/Sharon, sounds like a pleasant, short workday today. Hope the appointment goes well. We had an 'interesting' day. I slept in - soundly - husband had to wake me to take my medications, at a time when I've usually been awake for hours. Then the doctor's receptionist/husband rang. She wanted to see me. The doctor, that is. I knew why - my liver isn't good. But I didn't realise how bad it was - the worst test results I've ever had, and I remember doctors panicking last time, when my GGT was below 800. This time it's heading for 900 and rising fast, I've had tests done three times in the last month and each time they've been several hundreds higher. And we don't know why - all possible toxins have been eliminated. I don't drink. So I'm having an urgent ultrasound in the morning, then we get back to the GP in the afternoon with the results. She's sending me to the same specialist easy child 2/difficult child 2 sees, at this rate I'll be in hospital before easy child 2/difficult child 2's gastroscopy next week. This morning we were relaxing and enjoying husband's time off work. It was a lovely sunny summer day, I was looking forward to getting difficult child 3 to the beach again. No chance. Tomorrow (Friday) it's rushing around all over again! difficult child 3's birthday on Saturday, I was hoping to organise a few friends to visit for an impromptu party, Sat or Sun. Plus easy child & BF1 are supposed to be passing through on their move north from Canberra to Newcastle. Why does this always happen when we're busy? I'll keep you all posted. Enjoy your Thursday.
