Picking out one moment in my life as the happiest is a very difficult thing. The birth of Little easy child is right up there at the top of the list. As is the day at work when I walked into a meeting room, and realized that the man sitting at the end of the table (now husband) WAS that boy that I had a crush on so many years ago. Then there's my Grannie's last big New Year's Eve bash, the winter before she died, when I watched one of the courtly gentlemen in her circle of friends walk up to her, ask her to dance, and twirl her out onto the dance floor, her beautiful gown flaring out around her. The day difficult child stopped concerta, and I was able to have a rational conversation with him for the first time EVER. The day when I was 5 and the potato I'd buried in the back garden when I was playing weeks earlier gave forth a bumper crop of new potatoes, which my Grannie cooked for my dinner that night. The day when I was 4, lying in a hospital emergency bed after a horrific accident, when I overheard one of the doctors say "Wait. We can save the leg." Hard to pick just one.
