Actually, it isn't the chocolate that is bad for us, but the fats and sugars we mix in to make it more palatable that are bad for us. Do you think it would work for you if you were to break up a bar of semi-sweet or baking chocolate and eat it with peanut butter? (Still alot of calories, I know ~but far less sugar and saturated fat.) Another thing I have done when I really wanted chocolate was to make No Bake Cookies. Really pretty good for us and yet, they will satisfy that chocolate craving. Here you go, RM: 1 stick of real butter 2 cups of white sugar 4 heaping tablespoons of Hershey's chocolate powder~not the drink mix, the baking chocolate Bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil for two minutes. Quickly add the following and drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper. 1/2 to 1 cup crunchy peanut butter 1 to 2 cups uncooked oatmeal That's it. Rich and chocolaty but not so bad for us that we have to feel quilty about eating it. Enjoy! Barbara
