[QUOTE="ksm, post: 604653, member: 12511"] Is it from years of stress and dealing with difficult child? I am angry all the time. Then I get angry at myself for being angry. Today was first day of school for difficult child (sophomore). She spent hours this week picking out the outfit the shoes, then hours this morning with hair and make up. I get it - typical teen. But, I get ready to take her to school and she is only carrying a poptart. No notebook, no pen and paper, nothing. I realize they probably won't have typical homework today... but... the teachers usually tell them what they need for each class, ie: spiral notebook, or composition notebook, or a two pocket folder, etc, etc... I guess carrying a notebook just didn't fit in to her color scheme for her outfit. I refused to drive her to school if she didn't at least take pen and paper of some kind. She stomped around and grabbed a spiral notebook and pen and went to car, all the while muttering under her breath. For all her hype of "really going to get serious about school this year!" and then it boils down to she can't be bothered with one notebook. So I drive her to school and guess what. Yep, she left the notebook in the car. But she took the poptarts. It may seem like a small thing... but multiple times a day these frustrations pile on me until I want to scream. And sometimes I do.
