I love my primary care doctor. Just LOVE her. Any of y'all in this area looking for a doctor, come see me.

I saw her today, eye thing, vitamin D deficiency problems, and sleep study needed. She went out and got a sample of eye drops, told me to use them NOW, said the sleep study was no problem (if the specialist does it I have to go to the city for it, when the local hospital has all new equipment and the people who run it are all recently updated in training).

Then I told her my Vit D levels are around 6. She had to verify, as not many people can quote their labs off the top of their heads. I explained that I don't tolerate the sun, I have tried every kind of Vit D supplement and I vomit them all up even with medications to help prevent that, AND I can't tolerate milk AT ALL. So she asked if we had tried injections. I told her the specialist said they didn't do them anymore.

She said they sure could do them, they have to order the medication, but by next week I should start!!!

I am very excited. This has been scaring me quite a lot. The compound pharmacist said he MAYBE could compound it, but it would have some complications.

So, I have my eye drops, my sleeps study is in the works, and so are my shots!!!

Susie you should tell her she needs to clone herself and send the clone my way. lol A doctor who listens and isn't afraid to think outside the box is worth their weight in gold.

Can you eat eggs? Eggs have all the main vitamins except C. If you can eat eggs, you should get some vitamin D there. Mushrooms can also provide some vitamin D, but not a significant amount.

Oh yeah, Soy milk or Rice milk has vitamin D in it also.

I can cook with those things in very modest amounts. Not a lot or I am sick. Drives me nuts, as I said!!

If I could clone her I would. She does smoke, so early in the am her breath is icky, but I can overlook that!!
