Oldest man dies - a fun bloke

Just had to share this with you, it was on tonight's news.

What I loved - he attributed his longevity to "cigarettes, whisky and wild, wild women"!

husband reckoons whatever it was, you had to count a bl**dy good attitude to life as one of the features!

He sounds like a great guy. I love the "cigarettes, whiskey and wild wild women" quote. Maybe we should ALL take a celebratory nap in his honor? maybe we should celebrate lots of things in life with celebratory naps? Think it will catch on?

My great-aunt lived to be a very fit & healthy 101. In her last year or two she appeared on Aussie TV programs on ageing and living a healthy life. The thing is - she never drank, never smoked and never married. Was a pillar of her church all her life, spent her life in service of others. A relaxed, intelligent and content person.

But remember the old joke - "Scientists have found that if you don't smoke, don't drink and don't have sex, ever, you can live to be 100.
But they haven't found anybody willing to try it!"

Well, my great-aunt did.

So with both of these it just goes to show you - whatever lifestyle you choose, perhaps attitude of mind is best.
