My left knee's been bothering me for several weeks, but I just put on the brace and kept going. I was scheduled to work, and managed to keep it together during the day, but collapsed when I got home. The past three days were really bad, but I still went to the rodeo and the parade, but after the parade, I finally had to face facts. I think I've torn the meniscus AGAIN. Haven't been able to sleep more than a couple of hours because I move, the pain wakes me, and I can't get back to sleep. Went to Urgent Care yesterday, got pain medications and a shot of Toradol, came home, had a bowl of cereal, and went to bed about 3 pm. Got up this morning at 11. Need to call my doctor in the morning for a referral to the ortho AGAIN, and get the surgery scheduled for late May, because I'm already scheduled for several days and I need the work. Hubby says I need to have surgery soon, because we need to let the COBRA go. At least I can have the whole summer to recuperate, since I won't be working. No unemployment either, though, which is not good. I wonder if I could get disability?
