What is a tenure or tenured veteran?

    I've heard of 'tenured' teachers but never 'tenured' veterans. Guess I'm not much help! Sorry.

    WhymeMom? No real answers to life..

    Not really certain, just guessing here, but I would imagine it would be similar to a tenured teacher/professor...... so many years on the job, so much training..... which might equate with certain coverage for rights/privileges..... health care, shop at PX, education aid, etc. I would think you would have to have put in so much time/effort to attain these "rewards".
    Were you asking for a particular reason?
