Not against my beliefs. I gave her all the options, over and over, in no particular order, and she seemed to be going for open adoption, then at 19 weeks, when I thought OK, this is it, she found a place that would do it in the 20th week. Probably one of the hardest and most deeply disturbing things I have ever had to do, but how many, many times have we said that with our difficult children? And worse for you as I think you are a different religion from me? All the animals she has had over the years have had something happen to them, generally due to neglect or accident. Sadly, since she is not stupid, she knows that I will be putting up a red flag with the authorities re this one, although I won't tell her I am doing it. Her paranoia in this case is deserved. i offered hr the long term IUD and that is one of things she will not put into her body., Go figure. Had a great chat with someone in the biz about conduct disorder/antisocial personality disorder, versus borderline prsonality disorder. The former, we realized, actually believe their illogical thoughts, and the latter actually believe they belong to whoever they have leeched onto. I am still learning, after all this time. It never crossed my mind she believed what came out of her mouth. I thought she was just being oppositional. Also had another good chat about CD after 18. I thought sOciopaths and psychopaths were the same thing now. This was a discussion at my book club! But we looked it up and laughed (well, if you dont then you cry) as the info was read out and I upgraded her to psycho then downgraded to socio then back up to psycho. It's all academic now, isn't it? But we still love her.
