Ah you clever girl. You have discovered MY evil plan. When I come to visit? I would spend so much time with Cowboy and Mr. Darcy if you tossed me a peanut butter sandwich I'd be happy.

Abbey - I can't clean a bird either. I tried one year, just once. Woke up on the kitchen floor. Not kidding. Can't do it. My Mom still laughs about it. All they heard was me saying "No no I don't need any THUD....."

Gloves is the only way I'll touch raw meat. I keep a big box of them in the pantry.

Fran, all you need to do is sanitize your hands and cutting board before and after handling.

I use detergent and hot water for the cutting board and hand sanitizer for my paws. I don't eat a lot of meat, but my dog eats two meals of raw food a day, so I handle a lot of meat.

You just have to take some care and you'll be fine.

Sorry GN, I simply don't like the feel of raw meat on my hands or blood under my nails. The older I get the more fussy I get about touching yucky things with my bare hands. You should see me in a public restroom. Yuck grows on door handles and faucets.
I'll keep my gloves.
