I just heard rumor that a certain GAL in this area waffled thru a process for a case, then refused to show up in court for the case stating it didn't matter if his/her ability to be a GAL in the future was revoked. Hmmmm.....
All I can say is that if I was describing this person, "professionalism" wouldn't be the first word that came to my mind. Unfortunately though, it was a custody case not a delinquency case and now who knows how these kids' lives have changed- for better or for worse. But honestly, people would have had that doubt with this person in court.
I don't know if this is true or if there will be any repercussions but I'm sure you all can guess about how much even this rumor saddens me!
