Respite went well

difficult child's trip to respite went well enough. Yesterday he was there alone (it was a school day for other SDs) for four hours in the morning. He got in the car and informed me "That was a waste of my time." Too bad for him. It wasn't a waste of mine. It didn't sound like it was going to easy to get him there today, but he was excited this morning, put together a few things to bring (CDs - they let him blast his music) and was looking forward to seeing the other boy that was scheduled to be there. He was enthused when I picked him up, and DDD and I had two peaceful mornings in a row. A good start for a long weekend.

Isn't it amazing how a few hours can make such a difference??? Try a nap sometime when he is gone...now THERE"S a luxury!
