    stand on mental health parity?

I saw ads by Martin Sheen last night on the Peace of Mind Project (religion affiliated so beware). I looked up the website & found some interesting things .... others not so much.

Hmm. I *know* VA has some parity in mental health. However, the parity is for "biologically-based mental illness" ... which would include things like bipolar, but might not include transient depression etc. So this is a slightly misleading chart. Maybe they don't count that as "parity?"

gvcmom, I know the federal law was enacted.....the states are dragging their feet however. I find the how thing a bit sad.

I fought for this here in SC......VERY proud to say so.

We're also renewing our insurance as the rates have nearly tripled in the last 3 years - (just flabbergasted) so I'll be paying special attention to this in regards to whom we renew under.

Yes, NJ has the same biologically based list still in place. (last I checked)

My new more costly insurance has increased allowable visits however.
