Is it me- or is there a drastic reduction of people on board tonight? This is my big Friday night you know- I hope everyone isn't trying to get out of Texas- that seems pretty dangerous.

My head is exploding- bad tooth or sinuses or stress or combination, I don't know, but .... is anyone here?

difficult child is in bed- Thank goodness- last night around 1:00 am, police were driving through the neighborhood with the spotlights on, slowly, obviously trying to find someone. I kept running to difficult child's bedroom to make sure he was in there. He was. DEEP BREATHE HERE. The dogs are asleep, snoring. My face hurts. I must be PMS'ing this week. LOL!

I was wondering the same thing, and then I sit back and say "gosh I am the only one without a life!" LOL

I took a mental health day today, I am PMSing so I was not up for the ride into the city with my job for the lunch cruise they were going on, I am sure it would've been fun, but the weather was lousy and everyone was planning on drinking it up, which is not for me! so I got my red low lights done and my last pedicure of the summer, the girl was like "eyebrows and manicure too?" I am like "I wish" but my budget is already stretching here as it is! LOL

2morrow i will try to go to school again and hopefully the teacher will be there this time!!!!

What are you doing about your head? If it is a tooth, the only thing that ever works for dental pain for me is Orudus KT. Over the counter but hard to find. I haven't bought any in a few years.

Hubby took me out to dinner tonight! There's a BBQ place here that's to die for. The owners have trophies and plaques all over the place for all the contests they've won. So, now that we're home, he's watching Stargate Atlantis...

Hi, Andy! I put a call into a
'some-kind-of-specialist
'- the tooth needs to come out and my dentist recommended this group to me months ago. I went for an evaluation from them then and the told me cost, procedure, etc. Then, the tooth quit hurting so I put it off (like the problem would go away LOL! But I really had too many issues with difficult child's court, etc). Now, it appears to be an issue again. But, maybe it's mostly sinuses from allergies- I don't know but my head feels like a time bomb and has for 2 days.

So, what are you ladies doing? Maybe this is like "Good evening, Friday nighters"

Well I was busy playing computer games since it seemed the board was so quiet. lol Thought it was just me, guess not.

klmno sorry to hear about the tooth. I can take just about any pain you throw at me but headache and tooth pain bring me to my knees fast. Try some aspirin. Works better for tooth pain than tylenol. Extra strength if you have it. 3 reg strength if you don't.

I've got 2 teeth that desperately need to come out. So far I've been lucky and have had no pain. But I have an unreasonable amount of anxiety when it comes to dentists so getting me there is equivilant to parting the red sea. Even though I've found one that will use sedation, and our insurance covers it, I still can't bring myself to make the appointment.

Mary, glad you got to get out. My big treat was hubby went to Wendy's. lol

Yep, me too, Lisa- but I think I've officially gone beyond the definition of "reasonable" into true phobia. The dentist was going to try to take care of it- until he saw (ok, he felt) my reaction to seeing that humongous needle he was trying to stick in my face. Why is it they can shoot heroin up through a tiny needle but a dentist requires a torpedo?

Did an 11 hour shift then...(where's the drum roll) I actually got invited to a party tonight!!! My first here. I got to wear REAL clothes.

KLMNO - I used to get "stress" tooth abcesses. Even under good stress like Girl Scout Day camp. It seemed every year I would check into camp with that extra antibiotic medication. The Orudis KT really does work wonders. Someone had told me about it years ago. I am also a procrastinator for the dentist (and I used to work the front desk for one). Take your favorite CD and ask for a CD player - I am sure most dentist have one.

One year when I was on vacation in the Black Hills with my sister, I got another abcess. I called home (cross state) to my regular dentist and searched for a pharmacy that would accept her prescription. I was in so much pain (actually was on antibiotic when the trip started and it stopped working. No fun at all.

I am watching Karate Kid II. Part I was on before it.

difficult child and I were going to go to the zoo in the city of his therapist only to find it is now only open on weekends. Then we went to Schiels for a ferris wheel ride and difficult child found a "real life" sports game. Cost 50 cents per game so he played pass football, field goal football, basketball, and baseball. Turned into a true difficult child when I wouldn't let him do the field goal football again. Leaving the store was not fun.

husband is going to get up early tomorrow to go out to his property. His friend is out there to start hunting plans. Sleep in and cleaning are on my schedule. difficult child cleaned the game room tonight and when I told him he needed to clean his bedroom tommorrow he stated he had a play date (with neighbor boy) at 7:00. "As in 7:00 in the morning?" But he was out the door before I finished so I don't know?

I can't stay awake but easy child is out tonight so will be up off and on until she gets home.

I also am on the verge of dental parinoia. Even though my acutal work is less pain than the cleanings - I just can't get there. usually takes a toothache to get me going.

Abbey - what about 50 cents to call home? Didn't your mom teach you to take money to make a phone call if you need to? We weren't there to help, you may have needed that phone call. What if your cell phone died, what if you were out of range? Always take that 50 cents.
