Could it just be the lack of motivation in summer? Does he have lots to do during the day? Or does it not matter much if he sleeps his summer away? During school, son usually goes to bed at 10:30 and gets up at 7:30. In the summer, he goes to bed at midnight and gets up between 11 am and 12 noon. Sometimes later if I forget to wake him, and sometimes (rarely) he gets up earlier on his own. He's 15. So, it might just be a lack of motivation to get out of bed and if there's nothing pressing going on, why bother getting out of bed? If, when school starts, he can't get out of bed, or is drowsy, groggy all morning, then it's a bad side effect. It could also be that the Celexa ADDED to the Abilify is causing the excess sleeping - not working right together.
