Travis helped me decorate tonight and that went well I suppose. It's not easy when decorations were also stored in separate places (mostly random) all over the house. Tree went up easily, pop it out of the box, slip the 3 sections together, move the branches down and plug in the lights. lol Love it. But there are things missing. I've been doing this for 28 friggin years. I know what I have in the way of xmas decor. (most of it I've had that long) Much of what is missing I can live without, just irks me, as now my small tree is somewhat sparse as far as ornaments go and several "special ornaments" are missing. One my sister gave me when Nichole was a baby from Hawaii for one, it goes on the top branch every single year. Not this year because I can't find the darn thing. mother in law manager is still missing. This has become quite a mystery which has me rather furious. The manger was given to me years ago when mother in law gave me the dingingroom furniture and I started doing xmas dinner here. Yet last year it came up missing. husband swore he looked everywhere. Now this manger set is kept in a box it's been in forever, I mean the friggin box is older than easy child for Pete's sake. It's in a cardboard "crate" type box from a company that husband's great aunt used to ship florida oranges to mother in law. It's not a small box, as it's not a small manager scene. My manger set is smaller and is kept in a smaller box similar to the one mother in law's manager set is in. (since her box held up so well I decided to use one for mine too) I can find mine just fine. Found and used it last year because I couldn't find mother in law's. Found it this year too. It's not in the attic. Been completely through the attic. So far we've not spotted it in the family room either. Actually, it's bugging me so much I just went out and looked again, if it's there, it's somehow in another box because I'm definitely not seeing it. Now this is special not only because it was mother in law's manger set, but because father in law hand made the manger/stable part himself to look very similar to the way it would have looked at the time. It was so lovely and of course irreplaceable. I am so ticked. Nor is there any possible way someone took it. My kids wouldn't think of it, and no way katie or M could've gotten something that big out of the house. Being both furious and stumped is not really a good combination. On a side note..............the house is fully decorated. :rudolph::santa::gingerbread:
