[QUOTE="svengandhi, post: 556999, member: 3493"] My kids are older than yours. This year, I am having difficult child tutor pc13 and a friend in earth science every two weeks at the library. My friend and I are each paying him $10/hour. difficult child is 18 and graduated hs but opted not to go to college. He has also been working for the past two weeks as a companion to a boy with severe anxiety and other mental health issues who has been on homebound. difficult child comes over and gets him ready for the tutors and then works with him on the work. Ironically, this boy is in the same earth science class as my PC13 and it's that teacher who comes to tutor. difficult child has not disclosed that he is tutoring other kids in the class. The boy's parents called to ask if use a difficult child could do this because their therapist recommended they use a teenager or young adult rather than a middle aged lady to babysit. It's been great for everyone. This could be the start a good relationship. I would recommend that you pay difficult child something as it will make the transaction more business-like and that you set a specific date and time. My difficult child helps easy child with his math sometimes as the other boy in the group is better than easy child but difficult child helps the other kid with history, which easy child excels in, as does difficult child.
