http://www.ucdmc.ucdavis.edu/mindinstitute/ We're trying to find a neuropsychologist and my daughter's doctor suggested that place (or Children's Hospital of Oakland). I need to read their website when I'm not distracted. But I'm wondering if places like this are covered by insurance? What exactly do they do, what kind of evaluations? What would we be getting ourselves into? Occupational Therapist (OT) for Sensory Integration Disorder (SID) has been ordered, but Anthem won't cover the diagnosis code of 299.0 (they say it's obsolete). Docs office is supposed to be working on figuring out the code, but I'm not very trustful of them. Anybody know the code for a diagnosis of Sensory Integration Disorder (SID)? Or something similar that insurance will cover? Got order for blood tests for her to check basic levels. She's not going to like giving blood!
