Anyone else think "at will" work states are a joke? Is it just me?
There IS a happy medium. The Union Represents the worker, and new leaders are elected every 2 years. Informed workers vote and participate in Union activities. They know both sides of the story. For the most part I ain't crying for anyone who says they went out of business because the union drove them out of business, because 9 times out of 10 they raided the pensions and stashed their money overseas before the unions "drove them out of business". Then they leave the government to bail out the pension plans. It's just like government. If we don't participate in it, we really have no right to complain about it when we let it get away with stealing from us right under our noses and don't say a darned thing about it. If anyone thinks that the employers wouldn't just LOVE to hear about and act upon a union taking unfair advantage of employees, they're sadly mistaken. That is a two way street.
