husband's company put on a Casino Night last night. I had never been to one. It was a total BLAST!!! I was really really sick at 5 when he got me up (we leave by 6 so he can get to work on time). But I felt better by 9, so at 10 I called and asked to borrow my mom's car. Mine is good for around town, but not for out of town. I had a lovely afternoon shopping, and then met husband and went to the function. This is the first time I have really interacted with his coworkers. usually he seats us well away from them, and does very little to introduce me, etc... Not only did we play games (the roulette dealer was a HOOT!), there were PRIZES. We didn't win the Wii, but we won a Texas Hold'Em poker set. husband also won 2 weeks of wearing jeans to work. He is thrilled about that. We don't play poker, so that prize will be the Dad's day gift for his dad. His dad & stepmom have a cabin and this will be great there. we even got to take the leftovers home - including hte wine!!! I really wanted to try the merlot, but we each had to drive home so I didn't. But I got half a BIG bottle (about 2 liter size) of Barefoot Merlot. It is wonderful!! We brought home meatballs in a spicy BBQ sauce, and artichoke/alfredo dip. (and some artichoke/alfredo dip for my mom cause there was a LOT left over and it was FAB!). I plan to cook some chicken and some pasta and use the artichoke dip as the sauce with a bit of cream. YUMMY. I also learned husband works with really nice, funny people. It was just a great night. I hope y'all had good nights last night too! Susie
