My mom's house was infested with mice. The house next door was empty for a long time and evidently bred there and came next door to visit. Mom is a pack rat and has pounds and pounds of flour, sugar, crackers, cookies, pasta etc. Both in storage in the basement and on the main living area. In the end I had the house exterminated. They used those sticky boxes and some spray. No way was mom living with mouse excrement on her sink and in her cupboards. Mom didn't tell anyone but just cleaned it all the time. When Baby brother went to check on the house while mom was visiting me, he made me aware of the situation. Yuck, yuck, yuck. The rugs got scrubbed because of the amount of droppings after mom was away for a month. When I was at mom's after her stroke, I locked everything up in air proof containers, cleaned everything and threw anything out that looked like it had been opened for any length of time. (had to throw things away when she wasn't looking). Anyhow, the mice problems seem to have disappeared. We hope. I'll find out when I return with mom at the beginning of July. The house will have been closed up. So good luck. Regardless of their death, I don't go in their houses and they aren't allowed in mine. I worry about transmittable diseases. Yuck, yuck, yuck. I don't know what a cobra cat is but I like the sound of it.
