I, too, can't believe that so many years have passed "on the edge" with our boys. Somehow it made me feel a little better reading on AOL today an article entitled something like "Child Men". It said there is a whole generation of males who just have not been able to transition into standard adulthood. There is some comfort in numbers! The baby steps continue as middle age looms. I definitely understand the anxiety of St. Patty's and other celebrations. Sigh! on the other hand I have learned to be grateful that easy child/difficult child only gets drunk a couple of times a week and doesn't drive if he is going to get smashed. Geez! I'm thankful, like you, for each day that does not include a crisis and a slow (very slow) pattern of improvement is better than no improvement. Here's to an improved year as he moves on toward 28. Hugs. DDD
