difficult child is still missing school due to her stomach problems. She already missed three days last week which we accounted for with doctor's notes. This week she made it to school two days then didn't do so well this morning. We have an appointment with the GI specialist on the 28th of this month. It's still a long way off and difficult child continues to suffer. I called the school this morning to see what we could do. I told the lady in attendance that I cannot continue to take her to the doctors each time she is sick. There is nothing they can do for her there. So she cleared today's absence as unexcused. She suggested I talk to the assistant principal to see if he could do anything to help, like possibly override the attendance office's doctor's note requirements. I place a call to him this morning and I am waiting to hear back. I am hoping he can do something. February 28th is a long ways away. And I am hoping the GI can do something for us. The medications the pediatrician gave us for the nausea does not help at all. So difficult child continues to suffer. I am almost hoping the doctor finds something minor that can easily be fixed. If this turns out just to be anxiety then it is going to be harder to treat. Right now I am stuck without any answeres and it's very fruststrating.
