Crikey, where is everyone? G'day, people. husband, difficult child 3 & I just got back from a birthday party, one of difficult child 3's fellow drama classmates and cast member of "The Black Balloon" just turned 18, and we just had a blast. He invited the other kids from their bit of the movie and the rest of the drama class. The movie cast mates are all autistic/Aspie, but the drama classmates cover all ranges of difficult child and disability types. Add in siblings, relatives and a karaoke machine and you have a recipe for mayhem! It was fun, although difficult child 3 spent just about all the night playing games on his DS with his best mate from drama (who didn't get into the movie, because he's not got an autism diagnosis). It's heading for midnight here. "Dukes of Hazzard" movie was playing when we got home - not really my cup of tea. While I wasn't exactly cheering for Boss Hogg, I did wonder why anybody would care about strip-mining Hazzard; by the end of the movie it was seeming an increasingly attractive idea. maybe I'd have felt differently if I'd seen the rest of the film? Tomorrow is the village fair, it should be fun (as long as the local brats leave difficult child 3 alone). Our weather is absolutely glorious. Last night's rain - over two and a half inches, really amazing. But today - sunshine all the way. And hot. We're getting hotter weather now in autumn than we've had all summer. Freaky! Enjoy your Saturday, everyone. Marg
