[QUOTE="mom_in_training, post: 215066, member: 2727"] I'm glad shes feeling a bit better. My difficult child had her whole thyroid removed due to to a large mass. The surgeons greatest concern was her calcium level following surgery. The spasms (Whole body. Legs, Back!!) Is surely a sign that she might not be producing enough calcium. I am by no means a Dr but am just sharing the knowledge that I did learn from her Endocrinoligist (Surgeon) It is the Parathyroid that produces the calcium. Has she had any testing at all on her thyroid? If you eventually go that route you need to bring up the Parathyroid gland and have them do the appropriate testing. Many of these Endocrine doctors rely way to much on the TSH levels though and send you on your way when you know there is a good possibilty that there is a medical issue that is apparent. Here is a group link, You can gain allot of knowledge from the members here. They have first hand experience dealing with issues related to their thyroid or lacking of along with the symptoms and what they do to aid in feeling better.
