How did this HAPPEN?! I went to bed last night and woke up today the mother of a kid in HIGH SCHOOL!!! :surprised1: Today is our first day back. difficult child 1 is supposed to have 0 period for orchestra at 6:50am, but we weren't sure if he's really supposed to show up because this is a brand new school and they have instructed ALL students to gather for 1st period at 8:15am in the gym today. Parents are then going on a tour of the campus while each teacher takes their class to their assigned location (we're still in portables since the classroom building isn't yet finished with construction). I just checked the website (thankfully) and he won't report to 0 period until Thursday this week (whew), so the lucky duck gets to sleep in today! husband and I, however, got up at 5:30am in anticipation of the earlier start. So he made pancakes and I'm still absorbing my coffee. :bloodshot::coffee: difficult child 2 also starts at a new school today -- middle school! And easy child is going to a new place also because she's now in the gifted program and we decided she'd be better off at the district magnet. Well, it's time to get the first one up and ready to go (easy child). Thankfully, they all have start times that are about an hour apart. Plus having husband home (for now) will help with the transportation schedule until I get things better coordinated on my own. Wish us luck today! :peaceful:
