Tells us that he is not a bad boy, maybe just immature? and things will straighten out for him. He is super smart. So she gives me info on the 504 and the IEP and info on ADHD because I told her that I was thinking that is what he has. So she tells me that he won't get ok'd for a 504 because he doesn't need Special Education at all. Then she tells me, in her opinion, she doesn't think he has ADHD. She's been teaching for 17 years and she doesn't see it. Yes, his brain won't slow down but she thinks he's a bit immature again. All the other kids are 8 or turning 8 soon. My son turns 8 in the middle of summer. She's all nervous because she could get in trouble by saying what she was saying. (She's not a doctor) She strongly suggested us to wait on testing him until 3rd grade, if he has problems . She feels that he has improved very well, is smart, just has a couple listening problems, focus problems. It's totally up to us as his parents on what to do but she doesn't feel he has ADHD. My husband put his arm around me and said, "You don't know what you have just done for my wife." I could have cried, I wanted to hug her.
