Oh Nancy, I'm sorry if I gave the impression that this is about weakness. That was not where I was going at all. But I have mixed drinks for my mom and her boyfriend recently...LOL, too strong by the way. I am not tempted at all....but I do remind myself on a regular basis of the price addiction has cost my family. My bio dad was alcoholic and abusive...so I had no dad growing up. My mother in law died of her alcholism a few yrs ago. Both husband and I and both his sibs are addicts. Both of my difficult child's sons are addicts. I don't want to suggest in any way that addiction is caused by "weakness" I guess I just lean on One Day At a Time...Live and Let Live, etc. I know I can't get rid of Alcohol around me. It is a part of society that will not go away any time soon. I have to keep an eye on myself and that is all I can do. I can't control this disease in anyone else that I love. It is a personal responsibility and I just so wish I had armed my children better for this family disease when they were little. LMS
