The nice thing about a fenced in back yard is that you don't have to let them back inside. And unless it's nasty out, their first morning potty session is a longish one. Mostly because it also allowes Aubrey to eat her breakfast in peace. Image 2 pairs of huge brown eyes staring at your food.......and well......Aubrey caves and always shares which means she doesn't eat enough. lol And it's the reason Nichole will not be taking the baby gates with her when she moves. :D Molly is in no rush to go out. Too much of being left out while we went to school. (that's what I get for letting her socialize and have fresh air and sunshine) Sometimes we can't get her to go out until late afternoon and have to force her at that. If the weather is bad she'll wait until she's ready to explode. Betsy still sleeps in her crate so she's not bugging anyone. However Nichole used to bring the dogs in to wake me. Until the last time. Betsy jumped on the bed right on me....and she is NOT small. I came up growling and swinging and scared the daylights outta her. She hasn't been up to wake me since. Can't help it. I don't startle awake well. I come up fighting. lol Had a basset many years ago. She used to sleep under our bed. husband got up early for work one frigid winter day. I roll over to snuggle what in my sleep I believed to be husband. Few minutes later I open my eyes to find I'm nose to nose with Holly the basset. She'd gotten under the covers and her head was on the pillow just like people. And I swear she was grinning from ear to ear. That morning I woke laughing. She was one special dog. :)
