This will set legal time lines in place for them to follow up with a formal evaluation with follow up services and a written plan which will guarantee your son rights under special education law. Neither the kindergarten screening or this meeting will do that for him. Don't assume that they are initiating this process--there would be a specific meeting with you signing to authorize them to evaluate him and if they can't do the assessment, involving professionals who can.</p></blockquote><p></p>
