Getting a Mac won't necessarily help. I have a special email account that I deliberately don't protect from phishing - it's part of my work. As result I see more spam than the average bear to this address so I see most of the scams as soon as they arise. Phishing is what happens when you get one of 'those' emails asking you to click on a link to prevent you getting any more messages from the (usually) Russian girl offering you her nude pictures or the company suggesting that you buy the latest erection enhancement drug, cheap handbags, watches, or are unable to see this message, etc. I got a new one today, allegedly from Amazon confirming my latest order from them. It would have caught me except I haven't placed an Amazon order since last Christmas. This was one really good it looked V-E-R-Y real. The most dangerous ones come from mobs like banks and Paypal asking you to confirm your details by clicking on a link embedded in the email. If you think they might be real don't use the link but log in directly from your browser and see if the subject of the email is real that way. Whenever you get these pieces of rubbish you DON'T answer them in any way. Simply delete them. The only protection is extreme vigilance. Marg's Man
