One of the points the author makes is that self-esteem is built by accomplishments - - not by being told that they are wonderful because they exist.</p><p></p><p>Failure can be a learning experience but today's generation of parents are obsessed with not letting their children fail and thereby "hurting their self esteem." </p><p></p><p>It was a fascinating read.</p><p></p><p>~Kathy</p></blockquote><p></p>
