Nomad-I know what you mean about those goofing off days adding up! Here's the info you were looking for, I hope it is helpful. by the way, I like the Thanksgiving idea.:) What I do for breakfast: Four days a week I eat Raisin Bran Crunch (just a cup with 1% milk-never been able to handle skim which would be better). Two days a week I have been scrambling myself two eggs. For lunch I've been eating a spinach salad with peppers, radishes, cucumbers and a slice of ham cut up in it. Once in awhile when I'm feeling lazy I just put some mustard on the ham and eat that. I also have a yogurt daily with my lunch (love that honey lime Fiber 1 stuff) and a Fiber 1 chocolate bar (I never get tired of them). I'm fairly routine on my breakfast and lunch. For dinner I've been trying lots of new recipes from ww cookbooks. I also like grilling chicken thighs and roasting potatoes sprayed with olive oil cooking spray. I buy 93% lean beef when I'm making anything with hamburger. I've also been making stir fry with peppers and mushrooms with the olive oil spray-it's awesome! I haven't been eating a whole lot of pasta but only because I've been trying out so many other recipes. I am sure I will cook that again as well. I'm also really paying attention to portion size of what I'm eating. Every night I have a snack (I love snacks). Two times a week, I've been popping corn in olive oil and adding real butter when it's done. I stick to no more than 3 bowls. I don't have more than 1 coke a day. Mostly I drink water (64 oz) a day. It's easier for me in the summer because I'm not surrounded by the food in the lounge or getting as stressed and wanting to eat. However, of the 17 pounds I've lost only 5 has come this summer, I started the healthy eating in April. In addition, having husband on board with me has been a tremendous help. We are both counting our ww points and writing down everything we eat. As for exercising, I try to exercise 5 days a week (much easier to do in the summer but I try to do it as well during the school year). I do weights with cardio three days a week and cardio alone two days. My weights take me about 40 minutes and then I do a 30 minute cardio on the bike where I do intervals. I start with 5 minutes at normal speed, then do 2 minutes fast and 1 minute slow up to 20 minutes and then back to normal for the last 10 minutes. On the cardio only days I do 40 minutes-30 on the elliptical and 10 on the bike. I try to keep my pace up on the elliptical and then cool down on the bike.
