I love being able to do more with my family. I love looking out the bedroom window to the cherry tree in my front yard. It was a Mother's Day gift to me, as a remembrance of my Grandma who had one in her yard that we gave to her. Listening to Jess be a "mother hen" with thank you in the mornings. Watching my kids become totally involved in a book - to the exclusion of everything else. Discussing the strange and wondrous concepts that are in thank you's mind. Science related usually, and a very expressive way of stating his thoughts. Last month he explained the space-time continuum to me, as it could impact his life. Cooking with Jess. Spending time with my now sober brother, esp after many many years of that being a traumatic thing. Hearing my husband come in from work, it is always, "hey honey, I'm home!" IMing with husband during the day. His sense of humor is very quirky. Lemon body cream. Heavy duty, lovely smell. Rose water. On any part of me. Rose lotion - NOT my Grandma's brand, but smells like what she used. Fixing a cup of coffee for the cat. She only drinks a little bit, but she really likes it. I don't like to share MY cup!! Reading. Having the taxes ready to file and knowing we will get a chunk back to do some much needed things. The smile on Tyler's face when I go in to check on him at night. Such a sweet, sleepy smile. Being able to look at difficult child's baby pictures with-o crying. Knowing my difficult child wants to do things with us. It is a rare and special gift.
