Jed, I am where you are right now. My son is homeless and I really do not know where he is living. He tells me that he is living in his car but I am very skeptical of this as it has gotten down to the low 20's at night. I think he is staying with different people. Does your son have friends that would let him sleep on their couch at night? My son also refuses to go to a homeless shelter. He tells me how he will get ripped off but I also think he thinks it is below him. He also has pissed/ripped off so many people in our area that he might get beat up. I wake up every morning with a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach worrying about him. As others have said it does no good worrying as it doesn't change anything except your mental health. He is going to do what ever he wants to. Since this is the first time your son has been turned out, I hope that he does wake up and accept some help. My guess is that at some point he is going to ask you for some help (money) at that time you and his mother will have to decide what the conditions for that help will be. @DazedandConfused what do you do to distract yourself? I could use some new ideas .
