Hugs, TerryJ2, and more hugs - and then some more hugs. And, an extra one to grow on. I hid Walking on Eggshells under my mattress while reading it. This was 15 years ago, but I should have kept it on the coffee table. Except, I WAS walking on eggshells. husband told me how, in high school, he had a huge party at his parents' house while they were in Iran....for his dad's job. He turned out okay (great, even). On, the other hand, difficult child had a huge party or two or twelve, while we were visiting family 1500 miles away. I can't begin to remember all the damage we came home to. And, yes, we were idiots for leaving him. We had him sign a contract before we left. Oh, we were such fools. Really, a difficult child and a contract??? He probably laughed while signing it. A neighbor witnessed a middle aged man (and we think we have it narrowed to a friend's dad) carrying in cases of beer. He may have thought, Hey, better their house than mine. First thing I did, after 10 hours of driving/riding, was change all the sheets. Years later, it is still not funny.
