Is he starting to use words and phrases that are more adult sounding? How about using chunks of language he's memorized from books or tv (mine used to belt out phrases from Magic School Bus)? Do you hear any echoing ie you say "Do you want a cookie?" and he repeats that back instead of answering "Yes."
